Looking for earphones
My line of cheap earphones have failed me for the last time! I want to get some high-end noise-cancelling/isolating in-ear earphones. I'm thinking either Sony, Sennheiser, Shure, or Apple. My first choice would be Sennheiser, but I'm not sure whether the price will kill me.
I'm willing to spend about RM200 and below for the earphones. Yes, I'm a cheap audiophile.
So help me out, people. I'd also want to get a decent but affordable mp3 player, since pairing good earphones with a China-brand mp3 player won't exactly help me in my quest for best sounds. I thought of the new iPod shuffle for rm309, but I also want at least a screen on it so that I can choose the precise song I want to listen to. The iPod nano, at rm599, is way above my budget.
Another consideration here: My N70 phone, should I just change it and get an mp3 phone altogether? Sigh. Torn between conserving my money and spending it to make myself feel happier. Give me your comments, comments, comments. :(
edit: Then again, I should probably use my money to change my guitar strings first. Sigh, what to do what to do.
2nd edit: I found Etymotic! HOW?

E71 is pretty good. Of course iPhone is the best if you want an mp3 phone with Apple's AAC encoding, never get it in Malaysia though.
In-ear earphones go for Shure, the lowest end should fit your budget. Get a big-ear earphone la, yeng-ness especially the sound!! Then you can consider Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, Sony, Panasonic (in order of performances and price, in my opinion)

err. i personally like the bose in-ear triport earphones. i've never tried shure though i've heard they're good. as for mp3 players, i heard iriver is pretty good?
Alvin: Thanks! :D
wh: Er.
peklyn: Your earphones cost $100! Anyway, iriver is expensive for the amount of storage offered. RM380 for 2GB. What's good about their sound?
can't offer any helpful comments, so i'll just shuddup...
